CBC Scholarship Program (The Community Blood Center)

The Community Blood Center's scholarship program 'supports students pursuing post-secondary education by providing scholarship funding to partnering schools.' Applicants complete an application and create a creative project or presentation encouraging lifelong blood donation. The deadline chain is two-step — students submit to their high school by March 5, 2027, and the school forwards the winning applicant(s) to CBC by April 2, 2027. CBC separately runs the Gallon Grad recognition program for high school donors, which confers a graduation cord, certificate and recognition rather than money.

Download and complete the application, then plan and execute a creative project or presentation that educates and inspires people to make blood donation a life-long practice — an essay or blog entry (max 500 words), a web page, a recorded speech or song (max 3 minutes, with words/lyrics submitted), or a filmed commercial or video (max 1 minute). Students submit application materials to their high school by Friday, March 5, 2027; schools submit the winning applicant(s) with projects to the CBC Marketing Department by Friday, April 2, 2027.
