Mental Health Resiliency Program

Geographic Scope: Initially available in California, Florida, New York, Tennessee, and Texas. Program is expanding nationwide.

Focus Areas: Mental and behavioral health support for children of first responders

Key Features:

  • Free mental health services

  • Confidential and anonymous

  • Provided by licensed mental health professionals

  • Accessible both virtually and in-person

  • Target Population: Children of first responders experiencing secondary trauma, anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, emotional outbursts, and fear related to their parent's first responder role

    Eligibility: Children of first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, medical personnel) in participating states

    Background: Addresses the mental health crisis affecting children of first responders who experience secondary trauma from their parent's exposure to life-threatening situations. Developed in response to unprecedented line-of-duty deaths, suicides, PTSD rates, pandemic-related family separation, and economic hardship affecting first responder families.

    Funding: Program funded by proceeds from The Parade of Trees Auction (Universal Music Group Nashville artists), donations from philanthropist Mackenzie Scott, and streams/sales of "Stuck With U" by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber
