    The Second Presbyterian Church Foundation created the Memphis Resilience Center Fund to support a new ministry of the Christian Psychological Center (CPC). The fund was established due to the awareness of the lack of mental and emotional health provisions specifically in under-resourced communities of Memphis.

      Mission

      The Christian Psychological Center's mission is to provide hope and direction to those experiencing life difficulties in a manner that reflects God's love and grace through:
    • Counseling and other clinical services
    • Educational programs
    • Training and consultation
    • Collaboration with other like-minded organizations

      Memphis Resilience Center Goals

    • Heal wounds of children who have experienced trauma
    • Promote resilience skills through workshops for non-profits
    • Create a pipeline of resources for non-profits
    • Provide affordable Christian counseling (individuals at 175% of poverty level or below can receive services for as little as $10)

    Initial Funding

    The Foundation's initial contribution to the Memphis Resilience Center Fund is $50,000. The Foundation welcomes additional contributions from members of Second Presbyterian Church and the community at large.
