Memorial Scholarship (for Bachelors or Associates Degree Students)

Geographic Scope: Massachusetts residents (based on parents' full-time residence for dependents); may attend out-of-state school

Purpose: Scholarship for full-time undergraduate students majoring in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering

Program Background

The MALSCE Education Trust was founded to enhance the profession of land surveying and civil engineering in Massachusetts by providing scholarship and education grants for students of land surveying and civil engineering who are Massachusetts residents.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicant must:
  • Be presently enrolled full-time (days) in an accredited College, University, Junior College, Technical Institute, or Community College
  • Be majoring in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
  • Be a Massachusetts resident (based upon parents' full-time residence, if still a dependent)
  • May attend an out-of-state school
  • Complete and sign the application and give it to a qualified Sponsor
  • Sponsor must forward completed application with letter of recommendation to MALSCE Education Trust Chair
  • Send official transcript of all grades (including latest term) to MALSCE Education Trust Chair
  • Transfer students must also forward transcripts from previous schools

    Sponsor Requirements

  • Sponsor must be a department head, dean, professor, or teacher with personal knowledge of applicant
  • An applicant's employer may also be a sponsor if that employer is a MALSCE member in good standing
  • Friends and relatives cannot be sponsors
  • Sponsor must forward completed application with letter of recommendation to MALSCE Education Trust Chair by deadline
