Johnson Scholarship was established by Max Johnson as an educational scholarship to students in the Purdue University College of Agriculture, who reside in Montgomery County, Indiana. The scholarship is awarded in recognition of outstanding achievements in soil and water conservation practices, projects or studies.

Eligibility

The award is for tuition only at Purdue University College of Agriculture.Criteria:Be a graduate of good standing of a public high school in Montgomery County, IndianaBe a resident of Montgomery County, IndianaMust have completed a minimum of seven (7) semesters or ten (10) trimesters by the application deadline to be eligible to apply for the Johnson ScholarshipMust be enrolled in the College of Agriculture at Purdue University as a full-time student working toward a baccalaureate or associate degree, or as a graduate student working toward a post-graduate degreeMust be a present or former member of a 4-H Club or National FFA Organization. Must demonstrate knowledge of and concern for the importance of soil and water conservation practices.

Ineligibility

Child, grandchild, great-grandchild, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law or spouse of the Board of Supervisors, staff or other employee of the Soil and Water Conservation District of Montgomery County, Indiana
