Fund Summary: Annually we award competitive Community Impact Grants to advance cultural vibrancy, economic prosperity, educational success, and health and wellness in Mathews by supporting local nonprofits and agencies. Our results-based grantmaking framework enables us to make more focused funding decisions and measure their impact in our four funding priority areas. This program is partially funded by the generosity of donors who have created funds to respond to community needs as they change or emerge over time. Grants are available to nonprofit organizations and agencies providing programs and services that directly impact and are most likely to produce positive and lasting changes for Mathews County. MCF works closely with grantees to advance these goals in all of our priority areas. Our Priorities Community Vibrancy: Our goal is for community members to access and appreciate arts and cultural opportunities. Economic Prosperity: Our goal is for our county's resources to be sustainable and our residents to be economically stable and secure. Educational Success: Our goal is for young people to achieve in school, engage in their community and be prepared for the workforce.
