Maternal/Infant Health Grant

Geographic Scope: United States with emphasis on:

  • National programs promoting scalable and sustainable systemic change

  • Local programs in: California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia
  • Focus Areas:

  • Improve maternal/infant health outcomes

  • Target disparities in maternal/infant health

  • Address social needs and remove barriers to care

  • Support throughout pregnancy journey—from pre-conception to postnatal care
  • Grant Program Goals:

  • Reducing disparities in pre-term birth rates

  • Reducing disparities in severe maternal morbidity (SMM) incidence

  • Improving maternal/infant health outcomes
  • Eligibility:

  • Qualified nonprofit organizations across the U.S.

  • Must be exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3)

  • Must be a public charity described in section 509(a)(1) or (a)(3)

  • Must not be a section 509(a)(3) type III nonfunctionally integrated organization
  • Grant Terms:

  • Generally 1-3 years in duration

  • Grant ranges are open; funding levels determined based on need and plan presented

  • Organizations cannot receive overlapping grants from the foundation
