Maryland Region Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Overview: The nation's longest-running and most prestigious creative teen recognition program. BOPA serves as the Maryland regional affiliate for this national competition, supporting Maryland's next generation of creatives.

Geographic Scope: Maryland (regional affiliate serving Maryland students)

Eligibility:

  • Students in grades 7-12

  • Ages 13 and up

  • Open to teens in Maryland
  • Categories: 28 categories of art and writing

  • Over 4,300 art submissions

  • Regional Writing Awards: 240 Gold Keys, 407 Silver Keys, 96 Honorable Mentions
