Who We Are The roots of the Community Foundation for the CSRA run deep in Augusta and its surrounding communities. For more than 25 years, we have faithfully connected the philanthropic spirit of our community members with nonprofits and community initiatives throughout Richmond, Columbia, McDuffie and Burke counties in Georgia and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina. All of our work is grounded in our collective desire to enhance the quality of life for all residents of our region — for today and tomorrow. We do not fund applications in support of the following:Grants for individualsCapital campaignsDeficit financing and debt retirementEndowmentsPolitical organizations or campaignsLobbying legislators or influencing electionsPrograms that require participation in religious services and/or education as a condition of receiving servicesSpecial fundraising events/celebration functionsMarketing endeavors and personal research, unless the marketing is directly connected to the program in your grant applicationCore operating expenses for public and private elementary and secondary schools and public and private colleges and universitiesProjects that are typically the funding responsibility of federal, state or local governmentsScholarship programs; however, exceptions are made for summer camp or afterschool program scholarshipsPrograms that have already taken place or will be completed in the current calendar year
