Mary Warren Foundation Grant

The Mary Warren Foundation Grant, managed by the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area, supports charitable organizations focused on women, children, and the elderly. With an average grant size between $5,000 and $7,500, the foundation seeks to enhance the community through educational programs and resources. Grants will not be awarded for individual needs, capital campaigns, or political activities, ensuring that funds are directed toward meaningful community impact.

As in the early days of the Mary Warren Home for widowers and indigent women, the mission of the Mary Warren fund is still to support women, children, and the elderly who are in need of assistance in our community.

Eligibility

We consider grant applications from organizations that:Are determined as charitable under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, public entities or other charitable, educational or cultural organizations.Educational programs that benefit women, children and the elderly. It is anticipated that the average grant awards will be between $5,000 and $7,500.

Ineligibility

We do not fund applications in support of the following:Grants for individualsCapital campaignsDeficit financing and debt retirementEndowmentsPolitical organizations or campaignsLobbying legislators or influencing electionsPrograms that require participation in religious services and/or education as a condition of receiving servicesSpecial fundraising events/celebration functionsMarketing endeavors and personal research, unless the marketing is directly connected to the program in your grant applicationCore operating expenses for public and private elementary and secondary schools and public and private colleges and universitiesProjects that are typically the funding responsibility of federal, state or local governmentsScholarship programs; however, exceptions are made for summer camp or afterschool program scholarshipsPrograms that have already taken place or will be completed in the current calendar year
