Mary Kaiser Education Scholarship

Overview: California Community Reinvestment Corporation's scholarship program provides financial support to high school seniors and adult residents of CCRC-funded affordable housing communities striving to advance their education or obtain their vocational goals.

Background:

  • Over 400 scholarships awarded since inception

  • More than $580,000 in total awards distributed

  • Dedicated to former CCRC President Mary Kaiser in December 2022

  • Geographic Scope: California (CCRC-financed communities)

    Eligibility:

  • High school seniors in CCRC-financed affordable housing communities

  • Adult residents of CCRC-funded affordable housing communities

  • Students pursuing higher education, GED assistance, community college degrees, bachelor's degrees, vocational and/or trade school education

  • Many recipients are first-generation college students, single parents with dependent children, or individuals facing significant barriers to educational achievement
