Martinson Global Grants

The Martinson Global Grants provide funding for students admitted to the John Martinson Honors Program at Northeastern University. These grants support participation in approved global experiences, including study abroad and alternative spring break programs. Internal admits can apply for funding to cover various expenses such as program fees, airfare, and housing. It's essential to submit the MGG Request Form and apply before the term's deadline. Note that tuition and personal travel costs are not covered.

Eligibility

To access the Martinson Global Grant, students must enroll in an approved Northeastern Global Experience and submit the MGG Request Form.Internal Admits can submit a pre-application to receive a quote of their MGG total to help determine their ability to engage in eligible Northeastern travel opportunities before committing to the travel opportunity itself.You should apply to receive a Martinson Global Grant once you are accepted for your global experience, but prior to the corresponding term request deadline. What can I use Martinson Global Grants For?Any Northeastern-approved global experience (see list above)Program Fees (DOC Fee, ASB Fee, study abroad fees that are not tuition)Airfare (economy only)Visa or Passport renewal feesLocal transportation fees (if not included in program fee)Housing (if not included in program fee)Meals (if not included in program fee)To estimate the amount you might need for meals, please refer to the GEO webpage for your program for guidance. Ineligibility
