Overview: The Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Fund was started in 1985 by a small group of neighbors in Seattle's Mount Baker community to help deserving students achieve the dream of a higher education and to honor the work and dreams of Dr. King.

Scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors in southeast Seattle who:- Founded: 1985
- 40th Anniversary: 2025
- 2025 Awards: More than 25 recipients from the Classes of 2024 and 2025
- Partnership: Since 2020, partnered with College Success Foundation (CSF) to provide non-financial support to scholars, including robust support before, during and after college
