Make a SPLASH! Grant Contest - Need-Based Award

The Make a SPLASH! Grant Contest, co-hosted by Inside Edge Safety Surfaces, offers two all-expenses-paid awards for Life Floor safety surfaces, aimed at enhancing community splash pads. The Need-Based Award targets municipalities and non-profits demonstrating financial need, with design options including planks, bubbles, and geometric shapes. Grant values range from $50,000 to $65,000, depending on project size, ensuring safety and accessibility for all users.

Our annual Make a SPLASH! Grant Contest co-hosted with Inside Edge Safety Surfaces is back!
Our intent with this contest is to uplift communities across the country each year with beautiful splash pad surfacing designs that add increased safety and accessibility for all people.
The Need-Based Award will be awarded to a city or non-profit facility with demonstrated financial need.
Design Options:
Grant recipients will have the option of selecting from the following designs, which feature our newest Inlay shapes. Life Floor will adapt the chosen design(s) to the specific size and shape of each recipient’s splash pad.
Funding
The winners will receive Life Floor tiles and installation provided by Inside Edge Safety Surfaces at their splash pad, all expenses paid. The approximate grant value is $50-65k for a 2000 sq ft splash pad. Final value will depend on the size of the project selected.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be municipal entities, JCCs, YMCAs, or other non-profit organizations with splash pads located within the United States.Location of splash pad must have a median household income below state median and the Parks + Recreation 5-year average capital projects budget per capita must be below $50.All splash pads must be pre-existing. Each entity may only enter one splash pad.

Ineligibility

Multiple entries are not accepted.
Employees of Life Floor, Inside Edge Safety Surfaces, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
