Major Projects Program

A major projects funding program designed to encourage and assist in the development and/or improvement of facilities ensuring a competitive edge. Major Projects are defined as financial requests for $100,000 or more.

Geographic Scope

• Placer Valley (Rocklin, Lincoln, Roseville, CA area)

Eligibility

• Financial requests of $100,000 or more
• Projects for facility development or improvement

Evaluation Criteria

Projects are evaluated based on a variety of criteria including:

• Hotel room night generation
• Longevity of capital investment
• Community impact

Award Amounts

• Minimum $100,000
• Amount varies based on project scope and evaluation

Application Timeline

• Application period: January 1 through February 28 (annually)
• Award decisions: Announced in March
• Prior consultation with staff is encouraged
• May request meeting to review submission or contact for additional information

How to Apply

1. Consult with staff: Prior discussion with Placer Valley Tourism staff is encouraged before applying
2. Download application: Download the Major Projects Grant Application form
3. Complete form: Fill out all required information with project details and supporting materials
4. Submit application: Return completed application to Placer Valley Tourism
