Lubbock Manufacturers Scholarship Grant

The Lubbock Manufacturers Scholarship, established by local manufacturers, aims to support Lubbock County seniors pursuing education in industrial technology. This initiative not only provides financial assistance but also fosters the development of a skilled workforce in the region. With a minimum GPA requirement and a focus on exceptional aptitude in industrial technology, this scholarship seeks to empower students to excel in their careers and contribute positively to the community.

Community Foundation of West Texas
The Foundation is one of more than 700 community foundations in the United States today. We serve the following counties that make up the Texas South Plains area, Bailey, Cochran, Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Terry, and Yoakum by offering people a variety of ways to touch their community through philanthropic giving.
Scholarships
The Community Foundation of West Texas is proud to award over 100 scholarships to South Plains area students each year. We work closely with the groups or individuals who have so graciously established scholarship funds to help out their community. Helping South Plains students today creates a stronger future for them tomorrow and beyond.
Established through the combined efforts of a group of Lubbock manufacturers, the purpose of this scholarship is to promote the study and practice of industrial technologies and metal trades in the Lubbock area, provide educational opportunities for deserving students and provide a quality workforce for area manufacturers to grow and prosper.

Eligibility

Lubbock County seniors who plan to pursue post-secondary education in industrial technology
SELECTION CRITERIA:Minimum GPA of 2.5 for overall curriculum and 3.0 for Industrial Technology coursesExceptional interest, ability and aptitude to perform in the fields of Industrial TechnologyInterview may be conducted
