Our Story Founded in the tradition of community foundations across the U.S., the Community Foundation was created by local volunteers who understood the power of pooled investments to build an everlasting community “savings account.” The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier is a broad and flexible vehicle for charitable giving and community investment. We join with some 30 community foundations in Virginia and 850 across America to advance meaningful philanthropy in our geographic footprint serving Loudoun and northern Fauquier Counties and surrounding areas (however, our grants span the nation). Donors who include the Community Foundation in their philanthropic vision benefit from low fees, knowledgeable staff, and personal assurance that legal and accounting issues are managed under one cost-effective banner: the Community Foundation. Loudoun Community Response Fund- Housing Displacement Support Grant The Loudoun Community Response Fund was launched in 2025 to strengthen our community’s capacity to meet the growing needs of individuals and families striving for financial stability, well-being, safety, and long-term security. As more Loudoun residents seek assistance, the Loudoun Community Response Fund helps ensure that local nonprofits have the resources and support needed to deliver essential services and promote lasting stability. Funding for the Loudoun Community Response Fund is made possible through support from the County of Loudoun. Housing Displacement Support Grant The Loudoun Community Response Fund seeks grant proposals for a one-time grant program to fund housing displacement and relocation support services assisting Loudoun residents of mobile home or manufactured homes communities facing displacement to relocate to safe and stable housing. Services to be funded through this grant include providing financial assistance on behalf of eligible families to cover expenses related to relocation to and maintaining safe and stable housing. The selected grant recipient is also expected to: Develop eligibility screening protocol Conduct community outreach to eligible residents Establish vendor payment protocols and procedures Collect and maintain data related to resident outcomes and assistance provided Households eligible for this grant-funded program are homeowners and renters in Loudoun County mobile or manufactured home communities who are at risk of or are currently facing displacement due to community-wide lease terminations or property conversions. To qualify, households must be able to demonstrate proof of residence as a homeowner or renter in a Loudoun mobile or manufactured home community as of July 1, 2025, and must have received a notice of required displacement on or after that date. Eligible households may access services provided through this grant, administered by a nonprofit organization. It is expected that an assistance package up to $10,000 for eligible housing and relocation expenses should be available per eligible household and that at least 75 households should be assisted. Funds are available for direct client assistance as well as direct program costs, if applicable. Grant Award Size Up to $825,000 will be available for this grant program. It is anticipated that one applicant will be selected for the grant award. No more than 7% of grant funds available may be used for organizational facilities and administration costs; all other funds must be used for direct assistance on behalf of residents and direct program costs.

Ineligibility

Grant funds will not be awarded directly to individuals.Funding provided through the Loudoun Community Response Fund and the Community Response Grant program cannot be used to supplant expenses currently funded or committed through federal, state, local or private grants.
