Mission and Vision The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties was founded in 1999 to benefit the towns, countryside, and citizens of Loudoun and Fauquier Counties and surrounding areas. Grants from the Community Foundation are made possible by the generosity of donors who are committed to local philanthropy and our quality of life. Grants are recommended by varied fund committees and approved by the Community Foundation Board of Directors. Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund The Ursula Landsrath Animal Rescue Fund was founded in 2019 as a tribute to Ursula Landsrath. In addition to her career as a fashion model, movie stunt driver, skydiver, hotel manager, fashion boutique manager, and real estate investor, Ursula was a steadfast animal welfare advocate. In 2001, she founded the Animal Rescue Fund of Virginia that distributed more than $1 million in grants around the Commonwealth. ULARF continues her legacy and will consider applications from nonprofit organizations serving or rescuing animals in Virginia. Grantmaking Priorities Spay/neuter, Trap Neuter Return programs for feral cats; Emergency medical funds for farm, domestic, or wild animals;Costs of emergency repairs to organization facilities (unanticipated electrical/plumbing/water heaters, etc); Public outreach and education program expenses.Virginia-based regional animal assistance organizations providing support to smaller, local animal rescue or assistance organizations. Grant Size Grants are expected to range from $1,000-5,000 per organization.Eligibility
