The Lotus Scholarship program supports academically outstanding students with financial hardship. The scholarship was established by Living Buddha Lian Sheng, founder of Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation, inspired by his own experience receiving the Chia Hsin Cement Corporation scholarship during his studies in Taiwan.
