Eligibility Requirements

• Membership Status: Must be a Centra Member with an account in good standing
• Academic Level: Pursuing an undergraduate degree or certification at an accredited college, university, or technical school
• Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a part-time or full-time course of study for the Fall semester or enrolled prior to summer (June) disbursement
• Age Requirements:
- High School Scholarship applicants: Must be a graduating High School Senior - Adult Scholarship applicants: Must be at least 22 years of age
• Other Scholarships: Applicants receiving other scholarships are still eligible to win a Loretta M. Burd Scholarship award

Ineligibility

• Centra Foundation and Centra Credit Union employees
• Scholarship Committee officials
• Immediate family members of employees or committee officials

Award Details

• Purpose: Awards are for tuition, books, and/or other fees
• Disbursement: Paid directly to the accredited institution (2-year or 4-year college, university, or technical school)
• Payment Method: One disbursement remitted to the Bursar's or Financial Aid Office
• Proof of Enrollment Required: Each winner must submit proof of enrollment prior to disbursement
