CFCC Universal Scholarship Application

The Community Foundation of Crawford County administers a Universal Scholarship Application providing access to 32+ different named scholarship opportunities through a single application process.

Geographic Scope: Crawford County, Indiana; Harrison County and Orange County for select scholarships; previous graduates eligible for some scholarships

Number of Scholarships: 32+ different scholarship opportunities; 4 are renewable; several award multiple scholarships

Program Details:

• Most require pursuit of baccalaureate degree, but some allow vocational pursuits
• Some scholarships restricted to specific colleges or universities
• Some scholarships restricted to specific areas of study
• Each scholarship has donor-designated requirements and preferences
• Requirements and preferences ranked by point value assigned by donor

Selection Process:

• Double-blind review: Identifying information (name, address, parent employment, etc.) removed before committee review
• Applications reviewed and evaluated by scholarship subcommittee of CFCC Board of Directors
• Committee composed of community volunteers with diverse backgrounds and geographic representation
• Applications evaluated based on requirements and preferences set by scholarship donor fund

Recent Award History:

• 2024: 43 scholarship awards to 19 students totaling $255,000+
• 2023: 35 scholarship awards to 13 students totaling $176,000+

Application Process

1. Download Application: Available on CFCC Scholarship Page at www.cf-cc.org or email request to cf-cc@cf-cc.org
2. Review Requirements: Carefully review each scholarship's requirements and preferences
3. Complete Application: Complete application thoroughly; details matter
4. Apply for Multiple: Applicants advised to apply for as many scholarships as they qualify for, including those that might be a stretch
5. Submit: Submit completed application to CFCC
