LOCAL 890 Scholarship Program

Overview:
The LOCAL 890 Scholarship Program supports members in good standing and immediate family members of Local 890, I.B.E.W. in pursuing higher education. The scholarship is available for full-time enrollment in accredited colleges, universities, or vocational/technical schools.
- Must be a member in good standing of Local 890, I.B.E.W., OR an immediate family member of such a member
- Must be enrolling as a full-time student in an accredited institution
- Applicants do not have to be honor students but must demonstrate desire and ability to do school work on a college or vocational/technical level
- Scholastic honors, achievements, activities, and abilities will be considered
Eligibility
- Maximum Award: $500.00
- Payment Schedule: Payment made at the beginning of the second semester after satisfactorily completing the first semester and providing proof of enrollment for the second semester
- Announcement: Recipients announced in June

- Evidence of scholastic honors, achievements, activities, and abilities (if applicable)
4. Verification for Payment:
- Proof of satisfactory completion of first semester
- Proof of enrollment for second semester
