Geographic Scope: Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo community

Background

The Event Assistance program is managed by the FM CVB's Marketing team and is designed to help start new leisure-focused events or enhance recurring events. The program supports small community events to full-scale concert series.

Focus Areas

• Leisure-focused events (as opposed to convention/meeting events)
• Community events open to the public
• New events or enhancements to existing events

Eligibility

• Applicants: Legally incorporated non-profit organizations only. No individuals may be awarded grants.
• Event requirement: Events must be open to the public but can require an entry fee or registration to attend
• Decision authority: FM CVB reserves the right to approve or reject requests and ask for further clarification
• Funding guarantee: Applicants are NOT guaranteed funding. The board may award partial or no funds.

Upon Approval - Grant Recipient Obligations

• Recognition: Recognition commensurate with award amount (sponsorship benefits or signage) is required
• Community awareness: The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo community must be aware of FM CVB's contribution to the event
• Compliance: Failure to comply with recognition and signage requirements may result in forfeiture of remaining payments and/or reimbursement of previous payments back to FM CVB
