Geographic Scope: Longmeadow, Massachusetts

Eligibility:

• Longmeadow Public School staff members only
• Teachers, administrators, and other school personnel
• All 6 Longmeadow Public Schools

Focus Areas:

• Student enrichment
• Educational needs not covered by school budget
• Proposals involving collaboration across grades, schools, and departments are strongly encouraged

Funding Priorities:

• Cost-effective proposals reaching large student populations are more likely to be funded than those serving small groups
• Multiple cost items should be itemized

Grant Review Process:

• All proposals undergo extensive evaluation by Grant Review Committee
• Committee comprised of current and former board members and parent volunteers
• Formal approval required by full LEEF Board

Background:

• Since inception, has awarded over $1.2 million in grants
• Recent award examples: 2017 ($71,271 total), 2014 ($97,298 total - 39 grants)

• Mid-Year Progress Report due February 10th

4. For proposals with multiple cost items, list each item and corresponding cost in the Budget Worksheet
5. Obtain required signatures on Grant Authorization Form
6. Submit online

• Clear, concise answers favored over lengthy narratives
