Law and Organizing Academy (LOA)

Focus Area: Legal education and organizing for social change

Description: Fourth annual program jointly organized by The Action Lab and NYU Law's Initiative for Community Power. This program equips law students with frameworks and skills at the intersection of organizing, law, and political economy and helps them build capacity and community with like-minded peers.

Geographic Scope: New York-area; held in various locations in New York City and upstate New York

Eligibility:

  • Current law students from New York-area law schools

  • Students with New York-area summer internships
  • Program Dates: May 20-21, June 5, July 10, and July 24, 2026
