Accelerate Your Impact

Program Type: One-year grant program for pilot programs within successful nonprofits

Accelerate Your Impact™ is a venture philanthropy program that seeds high-potential pilot programs within established, successful nonprofits that tackle identified and underserved needs in New York City. This program supports organizations ready to expand or launch innovative initiatives.

What Recipients Get

• A one-time cash matching grant (1:1 matching funds requirement - grantee must match Reisenbach's contribution)
• One-year grant term of advanced consulting including:
  • Communications consulting
  • Media consulting
  • Program planning consulting
  • Outcome measurement consulting
• 1:1 mentorship with field experts to guide program from pilot phase into sustainable program

Geographic Scope

• New York City (five boroughs)
• Programs must serve NYC residents

Eligible Focus Areas (Must fit one of three pillars)

1. Youth & Education - Programs keeping children, teenagers and young adults safe by empowering them to pursue their goals through education, mentoring and career opportunities
2. Housing & Community - Support for unique needs of specific neighborhoods and communities throughout NYC, including needs of individuals experiencing homelessness
3. Justice & Safety - Initiatives with goal of preventing and minimizing violence and loss of life

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be established, successful 501(c)(3) nonprofit (not emerging/brand new)
• Must have identified pilot program or new initiative ready to launch
• Pilot must address an identified and underserved need
• Must be able to meet 1:1 matching funds requirement
• Mission must align with one of three programmatic pillars
• Must serve NYC area

Application Timeline

• Application portal opens annually in February
• Application deadline: May 15th (next deadline: May 15, 2027)
• Reisenbach reviews all applications once application period closes

As venture philanthropy and nonprofit incubator, Reisenbach supports organizations that:

• Evaluate and ensure program effectiveness
• Promote their work
• Develop and enhance linkages with complementary organizations

How to Apply for Accelerate Your Impact

1. Check Eligibility - Confirm your organization meets all requirements:
   • Established, successful 501(c)(3) nonprofit
   • Have identified pilot program or new initiative ready to launch
   • Pilot addresses identified and underserved need
   • Able to meet 1:1 matching funds requirement (match Reisenbach's grant)
   • Mission aligns with Youth & Education, Housing & Community, or Justice & Safety pillars
   • Serve NYC area
2. Access Application Portal
   • Portal opens in February annually
   • Portal closes May 15th
   • Visit: https://www.reisenbachphilanthropies.org/our-programs (link to application portal provided)
   • View eligibility requirements on application page
3. Submit Application
   • Complete online application through portal
   • Include description of pilot program
   • Submit before May 15th deadline
4. Review Process
   • Reisenbach reviews all applications once application period closes (after May 15th)
   • No rolling review - all applications reviewed together
