About the Lavelle Fund for the Blind The Lavelle Fund for the Blind is a charitable grant-making foundation dedicated primarily to supporting programs that help individuals who are blind or visually impaired live independent and productive lives. The Lavelle Fund for the Blind funds the following program areas: Medical Eye Care Making ophthalmic and optometric services available through training, treatment, vision screenings, and eyecare systems strengthening. Vision Rehabilitation & Resources Providing individuals who are blind or visually impaired with access to adaptive training, low-vision support, assistive technology training, recreation and vocational services. Education Educational services for students who are blind or visually impaired and training for professionals who serve and support them.
