Lacrosse Opportunities Grant

About the Maryland State Department of Education

Program Description
The State of Maryland is committed to helping Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and nonprofits maximize opportunities for minority students to participate in lacrosse in their communities. The Lacrosse Opportunities Program Grant funds programs to develop and provide comprehensive education and training in the sport of Lacrosse.
Purpose
Provide lacrosse opportunities for children under the age of 18, with a specific focus on increasing participation among minority students.
The Lacrosse Opportunities Grant Program supports LEAs and eligible nonprofits (recognized by USA Lacrosse as members of the Urban Lacrosse Alliance) serving jurisdictions where at least 80% of students are minority students. Funds may support salaries, supplies/equipment, and costs for on- or off-season clinics.
