La Vallée des Singes Conservation Research Grant

The La Vallée des Singes Conservation Research Grant supports vital research aimed at conserving endangered primate species. Funded by the Primate Conservation Trust, this grant prioritizes studies focusing on lesser-known species and their geographical distribution. With a goal of positively impacting primate conservation efforts globally, it encourages applications from researchers dedicated to understanding primate taxonomy and conservation strategies. The grant is open to qualified individuals committed to preserving these threatened species in their natural habitats.

Le Conservatoire pour la Protection des Primates is a non-profit organisation founded by the French Primate Park “LA VALLEE DES SINGES” to fund conservation programs for wild populations of primates.
Since 2009, the Primates Conservacy Trust (Le Conservatoire pour la Protection des Primates) allocates twice a year (April and October "La Vallée des Singes" Primates Conservation Research. The selected research should have expected positive impact on primate conservation around the world.
Priority is given to research in the field and dedicated to lesser-kown species and (probably) threaten by exinction. There is urgent need for research on endangered primates species geographical distribution and taxonomy. These aspect will be given priorities. Our intention is provide support for research whose data may be useful in establishing and implementing a conservation plan for the species under study.

Eligibility

The Conservatory for the Protection of Primates will award a scholarship to any qualified person studying rare and threatened primates, as well as their conservation in the natural environment.

Ineligibility

With this scholarship, we will not support participation in conferences or transport to scientific congresses. We will also not award scholarships to fund salaries or work for any shrine.
