Kyle R. Long Scholarship Grant

The Kyle R. Long Scholarship, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, aims to support graduating seniors from the Medford area who have special educational needs or learning disabilities. Scholarships encourage these students to pursue post-secondary education in any field. In total, over $300,000 will be awarded to more than 200 students across north central Wisconsin, reflecting a commitment to enhancing community life through educational opportunities.

Scholarships
More than 200 students throughout north central Wisconsin, from pre-school to post-graduate, will be awarded scholarships totaling more than $300,000 from the 125 endowed scholarship funds administered within the Community Foundation.
Purpose
Award scholarships that encourage students from the Medford area with special educational needs and learning disabilities to pursue educational training beyond high school in any field of study. If no students apply or qualify meeting the first level of criterion listed below, the Selection Committee will award the scholarship based on the second/or third levels of criteria.

Eligibility

First Selection Level:
Graduating senior from the Medford area; including Medford, Rib Lake, and Gilman High Schools;With special educational needs or a learning disability;Planning to pursue a post-secondary education in any field of study at any institution of higher education;Financial need may be a factor in the selection process.Second Selection Level:
Graduating senior from the Medford area;Planning to pursue a career working with people with special educational needs or learning disabilities;Financial need may be a factor in the selection process.Third Selection Level:
A hardworking graduating senior from the Medford area;Planning to pursue a post-secondary education in any field of study at any institution of higher education;Student must demonstrate financial need.
