Kuni Foundation- Imagination Planning Grant for IDD Housing

The Kuni Foundation's Imagination Planning Grant focuses on addressing the urgent need for quality, affordable housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Oregon and Washington. With funding ranging from $15,000 to $75,000, the grant supports organizations dedicated to developing inclusive housing solutions. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) non-profits committed to serving the IDD community, ensuring that innovative and sustainable housing options are explored and implemented.

Program Focus:
The lack of quality, affordable housing options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) has reached a crisis in the United States. Planning grants reflect our commitment to supporting the exploration of new, inclusive housing efforts in urban and rural areas of Oregon and Washington that are affordable, scalable, and sustainable. These grants are designed to support the creation of a viable action plan for project development and funding.
Award
Funding range: The average grant awarded is typically $15,000 to $25,000.
Maximum funding request: $75,000 depending on overall budget.

Eligibility

Organizations must have a primary focus of serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Programs eligible for funding include education, advocacy, employment, the arts and supportive, inclusive or independent housing.
Our geographic focus is Oregon and Washington and grants are limited to organizations located in, and directly serving residents of these two states.
Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Organizations using a fiscal sponsor must have an agreement with the fiscal sponsor in place at least six months prior to the grant application date and the fiscal sponsor must demonstrate a five-year history of successful operation.

Ineligibility

We will not consider requests for:

• Grants to individuals
• Fundraising events
• Reserve funds or debt elimination
