Planning grants reflect our commitment to supporting the exploration of new, inclusive housing efforts in urban and rural areas of Oregon and Washington that are affordable, scalable, and sustainable. These grants are designed to support the creation of a viable action plan for project development and funding. Award Funding range: The average grant awarded is typically $15,000 to $25,000. Maximum funding request: $75,000 depending on overall budget.

Eligibility

Programs eligible for funding include education, advocacy, employment, the arts and supportive, inclusive or independent housing. Our geographic focus is Oregon and Washington and grants are limited to organizations located in, and directly serving residents of these two states. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Organizations using a fiscal sponsor must have an agreement with the fiscal sponsor in place at least six months prior to the grant application date and the fiscal sponsor must demonstrate a five-year history of successful operation.

We will not consider requests for: Grants to individuals Fundraising events Reserve funds or debt elimination Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability statuses in the delivery of services and in their employment practices.
