Status: One-time grant program (launched in 2021)

Geographic Scope: United States credit union movement

Award Amount: $100,000 total distributed among multiple credit union recipients

Focus Areas:

Analyze membership demographics

Understand the roles culture, race, and ethnicity play in financial well-being

Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives

Address persistent financial inequities faced by people of color

Eligible Applicants:

Credit unions with 10 or more employees

Assets between $100 million and $600 million

• Ethnicity Segmentation Analysis - Track membership demographics
• Hispanic Opportunity Navigator - Assess credit union's readiness to serve Latinx communities and provides roadmap to success

Attune Services

• Financial health measurement platform access
• Employee and member financial health measurement
• Data-driven insights to steer strategic planning and product development
• Consultation services

Background:
Credit unions were founded to support those most in need, but to do so effectively they must understand who their members are. This grant opens opportunities for smaller credit unions that could not otherwise allocate resources for demographic analysis and financial health assessment.
