Focus: Honors an individual dedicated to promoting the credit union philosophy who has created innovative concepts and provided leadership with significant and lasting impact on the credit union movement with measured results.

Outstanding Organization or Program

Focus: Honors an organization, program, or business for innovative concepts, products, and services that have had significant impact on the credit union movement with measured results.

Eligibility:

  • Nominations can be made by individuals and/or organizations

  • Open to credit union movement participants

    • Award History:

  • Celebrated innovators and changemakers of the credit union movement for over thirty years

  • Examples of past recipients include Roger Heacock (2022), Faith Based Credit Union Alliance (2022), and others

    How to Apply

    Nomination Process

    Three Required Steps:

    1. Complete the nomination form - Submit the Herb Wegner Memorial Award Nomination Packet

    2. Gather supporting letters - Collect at least five (but no more than ten) personal recommendations citing specific examples of the nominee's achievements relevant to award criteria

    3. Submit materials - Send the nomination form and recommendation letters electronically to the Foundation

    Submission Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 supportive references required

  • Maximum of 10 recommendation letters

  • Include specific examples of achievements relevant to award criteria

  • Electronic submission required
