    • Mission:
    Founded by John and Eleanor Kirkpatrick in 1989, the fund invests in ideas, leadership and programs that contribute to and advance the cultural, intellectual and societal interests of the community.

    Geographic Scope: Central Oklahoma

    Program Examples:

  • OK Let's Dance Initiative - Celebrates joy of dance and movement; increases availability, accessibility and awareness of dance in central Oklahoma. Includes free lessons at all skill levels and performances by local and national dance groups.

  • Arts Education Partnerships - Collaborations with organizations like Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, Oklahoma City Repertory Theater, and SPARK! Creative Lab

  • STEAM Integration - Arts-integrated curriculum for after-school and summer programs in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County, Freedom City, and Urban Bridge

    • Leadership:
    Administered by Christian Keesee, grandson of founders John and Eleanor Kirkpatrick

    Historical Impact:
    To date, the Kirkpatrick Family Fund has contributed more than $164 million through project, operating and endowment-building grants and has awarded nearly $6 million to more than 60 arts organizations in fiscal year 2023.
