KidsFUNd Grant

The KidsFUNd Grant, provided by the Central Kansas Community Foundation, aims to enhance family dynamics and children's mental health within Harvey, Butler, Marion, Elk, Wilson, and Sedgwick counties. Grants of up to $1,500 support initiatives focused on parenting education, youth leadership, and trauma recovery. This funding encourages community-driven solutions, emphasizing the importance of family engagement and positive parenting in improving children's well-being. Eligible organizations must possess a 501(c)(3) status and demonstrate a commitment to these goals.

The CKCF based in Newton, Kansas is thriving as a viable community foundation serving Newton while also being host to 19 affiliate community foundations throughout central Kansas.
Following a stable history serving a tri-county area the foundation merged in 2009 with the well-established Greater Newton Community Foundation. Today, the CKCF continues to demonstrate a commitment to strengthening communities across the entire Central Kansas region. The Foundation provides:

The Central Kansas Kids FUNd, made possible by the L. Marie Haun Charitable Fund for Children, supports programs that strengthen families, promote positive parenting, and improve children’s behavioral health and well-being. Grants up to $1,500 are available for eligible organizations serving Harvey, Butler, Marion, Elk, Wilson, and Sedgwick (Valley Center) counties. Funding priorities include:

Eligibility

Applicants must have 501(c)(3) or qualifying status and be in good standing on past grant reporting.

Ineligibility

Projects focused only on distributing goods (e.g., food) are not a primary focus, but those incorporating family engagement or education may qualify.
