Overview: The K2 Gus Mendez Valor Initiative Individual Award is designed to support past and present military personnel and their families with special needs and/or life-changing medical and financial circumstances through services, support and funds.

Basic necessities

Educational and medical enrichment

Selection Criteria: The Valor Initiative Committee considers only the following factors:

Medical Need

Financial Need

Ineligibility:

Members of the corporation's board of directors and their children are not eligible

Award Distribution: If approved, all services will be paid directly to the vendor

Key Information:

Applications reviewed quarterly by grant committee

Committee selection is final and objective, non-discriminatory basis
