ICLE's 2023 Awards and Grants Program for Junior Scholars seeks to recognize junior scholars doing important research using economic methods applied to contemporary and emerging law and public-policy issues. Awards and grants are considered on a rolling basis.

Award Types

Research Awards:

Amount: $1,000 honorarium
Purpose: Recognize publishable papers (including those substantially complete but not yet submitted for publication) completed primarily in the past 12 months

Research Grants:

Amount: Generally $7,500 (larger awards may be made in rare instances to support specific research costs)
Purpose: Support new or recently undertaken projects with relevance to current or emerging policy topics
