Jose Solarez Scholarship
Overview: A scholarship program created to help youth in Guadalupe, Arizona stay in school, named after Jose Solarez, a founding and long-time ABC Board member who passed away in 2012.

Background: Jose Solarez was a founding member of ABC and the Arizona Foundation for Behavioral Health. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in secondary education in Native American and Chicano Studies. He held positions including Gila River Indian Community Community Service Director, Tribal Manager for Pascua Yaqui, Town Manager for Cities of El Mirage, San Luis, and Guadalupe, and Municipal Judge for Guadalupe.
