GFOAz Student Internship and Scholarships Program

GFOAz honors Arizona students who aspire to a career in public finance through a combined internship and scholarship program.

Award Details:

• Paid internship with a local city, town, or county in the finance department
• Cash scholarship awarded upon successful completion of the internship

Number of Awards: Two internship/scholarship awards annually

Eligible Schools:

• Arizona State University
• Grand Canyon University
• Northern Arizona University
• University of Arizona

Eligibility:

• Must be an incoming junior or senior
• Must be enrolled at one of the eligible Arizona universities
• Must be working on an accounting, finance, economics, business, or business-related major
• Additional eligibility criteria available in application form

Internship Details:

• Paid internship position
• Work with a local city, town, or county finance department
• Contribute to broad range of activities within the finance department
• Cash scholarship awarded upon successful completion

Application Process

1. Complete the Student Internship/Scholarships Application Form
2. Submit by December (applications due in December)
3. Review the Student Internship/Scholarships Information document for full eligibility criteria
4. Host organizations may also submit applications

Deadline: December (annual)

Notification: GFOAz will notify selected student in December

Required Materials:

• Completed application form
• Documentation of major field of study
• Any additional materials specified in application
