Jones Family Foundation Scholarship Fund

Purpose: Established in 2001 to honor the legacy of Ora G. Jones, one of the Foundation's founders, by providing post-secondary educational opportunities to graduates of Red Wing High School and Tower View Alternative High School in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Eligibility:

Graduating seniors from Red Wing High School or Tower View Alternative High School

Must demonstrate strength of character and achievement

Must show desire and ability to provide service and leadership in a rapidly changing world

Selection based on holistic review, not just academic achievement

Continuing Eligibility Requirements:

Enrolled for minimum of 12 credits or minimum required for full-time student status

Maintain minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (cumulative GPAs slightly below 2.5 may be considered with compelling circumstances)

Must not be on academic or social probation

Submit up-to-date annual transcript

Award Details:

Five scholarships awarded annually: 4 to Red Wing High School, 1 to Tower View Alternative High School

Up to $10,000 total over 4-year period, or $2,500 annually

For post-secondary study at accredited institutions

Evidence of enrollment required

Checks issued to student and school prior to school term, typically in fall
