The John William Jackson Fund was established in memory of John Jackson in 2000 by friends and family, including Marcus and Pat Meier, and Bill and Jackie Jackson. In 2017, the Fund reached the $1,000,000 milestone in total grants given since its inception. In support of our mission, we: Provide academic scholarships to colleges and universities for deserving students.Provide grants to performing arts organization to reach children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to see these performances.Provide grants to youth organizations that provide youth outdoor sporting experiences.Provide grants to schools and schools districts to purchase or rent instruments for their students.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a grant, organizations must meet the following requirements:Currently hold 501(c)3 non-profit statusmost schools and school districts have this status.The organization or program must provide a direct service or scholarship to youth (colleges and universities are included).School music programs must apply for funds to be used for the purchase or rental of music instruments for their students.Complete the Grant Application and provide any additional documents that are asked for.
