John & Susan (Rose) Dorr Scholarship Grant

The John & Susan (Rose) Dorr Scholarship, offered by the Muskingum County Community Foundation, aims to support Muskingum County residents who are graduates of local high schools. Eligible applicants include current high school seniors and college students majoring in business, nursing, or education. With a minimum GPA of 2.75, this scholarship reflects the Dorrs' commitment to giving back to their community and nurturing future generations.

Mission & Vision
The Envisioned Future of the Muskingum County Community Foundation is that Muskingum County’s quality of life attracts organizations and people to pursue their dreams and practice their passions.
Since its founding, MCCF has awarded more than $8 million to local charities and currently has over $22 million in assets.
The Dorrs' who both grew up in Zanesville, attribute much of their success to the local people and organizations that helped them early on. They want to give something back to the community and hope their former classmates will do the same.

Eligibility

All applicants MUST be Muskingum County residentsAll applicants MUST be graduates of a Muskingum County High SchoolOpen to college students/previous winners.Applicants MUST be accepted at an Ohio College or University and are required to major in business, nursing or education OR be accepted at an Ohio skilled trade tech school for HVAC.GPA must be at least 2.75.
