She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history with minors in English from Texas A&I University. Mrs. Picquet was director of the Conner Museum at Texas A&I University for 22 years. She also taught piano for 16 years. Amount: Awards for each scholarship vary. Scholarships range from $100 to up to $16,000, with the average award being $1,000.
