JEF General Fund Grants

Purpose: Provide funding for Jewish and non-Jewish organizations that significantly benefit the Jewish community.

Geographic Scope: Louisiana (501(c)(3) organizations only)

Focus Areas:

  • Launch new initiatives

  • Expand successful existing programs

  • Address emerging critical needs

  • Jewish youth leadership programs

  • Jewish seniors' needs

  • Women's education and development

  • Music and theater projects

    • Eligibility:

  • Must be a 501(c)(3) organization in the state of Louisiana

  • Program must align with JEF's mission and purpose

    Deadlines

    Applications are reviewed twice per year:

  • Spring Grant Cycle: Applications must be submitted before March 1

  • Fall Grant Cycle: Applications must be submitted before September 1

    • Processing Timeline: Each grant cycle may take up to two months to process. Recipients will not receive notification and funding until early May (spring cycle) or early November (fall cycle).
