JDRF: Conference Awards Grant

The JDRF Conference Awards support scientific meetings and workshops that align with their mission to advance research in Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Applications for funding are accepted year-round, though individual attendance costs are not covered. The program evaluates how proposed conferences relate to JDRF's goals, the qualifications of organizers, and the appropriateness of the budget, ensuring that funded events contribute effectively to T1D research advancement.

Eligibility

Institutional Eligibility:Domestic & foreign non-profit organizations; public & private universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories; units of state & local governments; eligible agencies of the federal governmentEach criterion will be considered in the context of how it relates to JDRF research priorities:How does the meeting/conference relate to JDRF goals?
What is the format and agenda?
What is the need for the meeting/conference?
What is the timeliness of the meeting/conference?
What are the qualifications of the organizers and proposed participants?
What is the past performance of the meeting/conference (when applicable)?
How appropriate is the meeting site?
How appropriate is the budget?

Ineligibility

Note that the JDRF Conference Grant does not provide individual support to an applicant for conference attendance.JDRF does not cover indirect/overhead costs of any amount on conference grants. Please only include actual (direct) costs in your proposed budget.
