Program Details

The grant commissions original artwork by artists with disabilities to be featured throughout TLC's new Austin Collard Residence and Community Center. The project:

• Transforms common areas into vibrant, sensory-friendly spaces
• Creates environments that reflect dignity, personality, and potential of residents
• Celebrates creativity and inclusion
• Partners with Arts Access North Carolina

Project Goals

• Create commissioned art pieces by artists with disabilities
• Transform community spaces into inclusive environments
• Provide opportunities for participating artists to speak about their work
• Foster public understanding and emotional connection through art
• Demonstrate how public art can foster understanding and inclusive design
