James R. and Joanne K. Burgoon Endowment The James R. and Joanne K. Burgoon Endowment was established through a bequest from the estate of James R. Burgoon to honor the lives and legacy of James and his wife, Joanne K. Burgoon. A lifelong resident of Westerville, Ohio, James was a 1948 graduate of Westerville High School, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a longtime leader at Franklin University, where he served for more than 30 years and ultimately became Vice President of Finance. Together, James and Joanne were active in their community, including service through Masonry and the First Presbyterian Church of Westerville. This endowment reflects their enduring commitment to education, service, and the Westerville community.
