Jack Berno Hope For Our Future Scholarship Grant

The Jack Berno Hope For Our Future Scholarship, offered by Adena Health System, supports high school students in their pursuit of healthcare careers. This scholarship is available to dependents of Adena caregivers and encourages applicants from various fields, provided they aim to work in healthcare post-graduation. Students must reside in Adena’s nine-county service area, demonstrating academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent GED scores. This initiative fosters the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The foundation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adena Health. This nonprofit corporation functions primarily as a fundraising organization to support the health system and the communities it serves. The foundation is separately incorporated as tax-exempt under IRC 501(c)(3) and as a supporting organization under IRC 509(a)(3).
Hope For Our Future Scholarships

Adena Health Foundation may be able to help you get there. Several scholarship opportunities are available for anyone living in Adena’s nine-county coverage area interested in pursuing a career in one of a number of disciplines connected with health care.
The Hope for our Future scholarships are for students pursuing a career that could be part of a health system. While this includes the positions you would normally associate with health care such as doctors, nurses, therapists, aides, it can also be accounting, finance, legal, human resources or any job found within a health system.
Available to students in any field of study, but applicants must have a desire to work in health care post-graduation. Must be a dependent of an Adena caregiver who demonstrates academic excellence. For consideration of this scholarship, the dependent must live within Adena’s nine-county service area.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to any high school student residing in one of the counties Adena Health System considers to be part of its service area.Those counties include: Ross, Fayette, Pickaway, Highland, Jackson, Scioto, Vinton, Pike, and Hocking
Applicants must have a high school Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 and be receiving a high school diploma or have a GED score of at least 550 to be considered. Employees of Adena Health System are eligible. Decisions on the awarding of scholarships apply equally to all without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, gender, religion or disability.
