Overview

Israel Program - Student Leadership Mission

Overview: A seven-day fully-funded student leadership mission to Israel for select delegation of 20 North American students.

Geographic Scope: United States and Canada

Focus Areas:

  • Pro-Israel student leadership training

  • Combating antisemitism and anti-Israel propaganda

  • First-hand accounts of Israeli security situation

  • Campus advocacy skills

  • Israel's culture, society, politics, and technological advancements
  • Program Highlights:

  • Tour strategic points including Syrian border, Gaza border, Jerusalem landmarks, Palestinian towns

  • Visit Israeli humanitarian organizations, hi-tech companies, Knesset, Supreme Court

  • Meet Israeli leaders, journalists, diplomats, military leaders, academics

  • Practical training in public speaking, social media, campus initiative planning

  • 10 high-level leadership training workshops

  • All meals provided (Glatt Kosher)

  • Health insurance included

  • Round-trip airfare from major US and Canadian hubs

  • Hotel and youth hostel accommodations
  • Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate students only

  • Must have at least two semesters remaining on campus after trip

  • Must be current or prospective pro-Israel leaders on campus

  • Selection based on current pro-Israel leadership experience and social media footprint

  • No student turned away for financial reasons

  • Program Fee: $249

  • Refundable Deposit: $400 (reimbursed after two semesters as Hasbara Fellow on campus)

  • Full program value: Over $3,600 (includes flights, accommodations, educational programming)
  • Religious Accommodation:

  • Glatt Kosher meals provided

  • Shabbat observance (Friday night through Saturday night)

  • Free time Saturday for personal use

  • Respectful of various Jewish denominations

  • Prior to 45 days from program start: Full refund except $400 deposit

    Application Process

    1. Submit Application: Complete online application form at hasbarafellowships.org/apply/

    2. Selection Criteria:
    - Current experience as pro-Israel leader on campus
    - Social media footprint demonstrating pro-Israel advocacy
    - Engagement and recommendation level
    - Commitment to campus leadership

    3. Payment:
    - Submit $249 program fee + $400 refundable deposit by credit card
    - Enrollment confirmed upon receipt of payment

    4. Post-Selection Requirements:
    - Valid passport (must be valid for minimum 6 months beyond departure date)
    - For 2026 winter trips: Passport must be valid through July 2027
    - Arrangement of domestic transportation to group flight location
    - Completion of health insurance and travel insurance requirements

    5. Financial Support Options:
    - Contact local synagogue, Hillel, Chabad, Jewish Federation for scholarships
    - Hasbara offers fundraising opportunities for trip payment and expenses

    6. Commitment After Trip:
    - Must serve as Hasbara Fellow on campus for two semesters to receive $400 deposit refund
    - Dedicated campus advocacy required
