Israel Grants

Purpose: Provide supplemental financial aid for educational and Jewish identity-strengthening programs in Israel.

Focus: Increase the number of high school and college students who have the opportunity to travel to and study in Israel.

Award Details:

• Year programs: $1,750 - $2,500 per applicant
• Summer programs: $2,500 per applicant
• Grants cover up to one-half of program cost

Eligibility:

• High school and college students
• Requesting family should be a donor to the Federation's annual campaign
• Family account must be in good standing

Selection Criteria:

• Awards based primarily on merit
• Evaluated on applicant's motivations and achievements
• Assessment based on written application responses and personal interviews with selection committee
• First-time applicants have priority; second-time applicants considered if funds available

Grant Type:

• One-time grant per year
• Second year and future year grants available if funds are available

Application Process

1. Deadline: Applications must be submitted by December 15
2. Application Form: Complete the Israel Grant Application form
3. Requirements:
   • Written responses to applicant questions addressing motivations and achievements
   • Participation in personal interview(s) with the selection committee
4. Submission: Submit application by the December 15 deadline
