Israel Experience Scholarships

Overview: The Jewish Foundation Israel Experience Program enables Jewish students, ages 15–20, to participate in Israel experiences to develop, enrich, and reinforce their Jewish education and identity.

Geographic Scope: Greater New Haven area, Connecticut

Focus Areas:

  • Short-term programs (minimum 3 weeks)

  • Long-term organized Israel educational programs
  • Eligibility:

  • Jewish students ages 15-20

  • All applicants considered (needs-blind)
  • Application Process:

  • Essay required

  • 2 recommendations required

  • All applications are confidential and anonymously reviewed by the Israel Experience Scholarship committee

  • Competitive process; awards based on strength of application
  • Deadlines:

  • Summer 2026 trips: April 10, 2026

  • Gap year or academic year programs: June 10, 2026
